RECAP

When we look at Romans 6-8, we see that when we begin a relationship with Jesus, we also begin the process of sanctification. It's the process of being freed from sin, purified, and made right to live right. It doesn't just happen by our own efforts, it happens by the work of the Holy Spirit inside us throughout our lives.

KEY VERSES

Romans 6:5-7, Romans 7:15-20, Romans 7:24-25, Romans 8:14-17, Romans 8:35-39

QUESTIONS

1. How does knowing that God's spirit lives in us help us to rely on His power to overcome sin?

2. How can you relate to Romans 7:15-20? What do you do that you don't want to do? What don't you do that you want to do?

3. Read Romans 7:24-25. What would your life look like to let Jesus deliver you and rescue you from sin? What steps do you need to take to invite His help in your life?

4. Read Romans 8:14-17. Pray multiple times each day "Father, abba, papa...I love you. Thank you for loving me."

5. Read Romans 8:35-39. Nothing can separate you from God's love. What power can that give your life? What confidence does that give you to face what is ahead?
