RECAP: MATTHEW 3-4

Today, we looked at the baptism and temptation of Jesus and his 40-day fast in the wilderness.   In a world of self-indulgence and no self-control, Jesus sets a different example. The words of Jesus are to deny ourselves and follow Him. This is a continuation from week 1 with the idea that the first will be last and the last will be first. Maybe this ancient practice of fasting could help us today to learn contentment and self-control. Fasting is a great way to tune our hearts to God’s Spirit and to learn to be dependent on Him. Watch the message here.
