JOURNEY THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT: ACTS 9
November 18, 2025
CURRENT SERIES: START NEW
This year, we are taking a journey through the New Testament. We are currently in the book of Acts. This covers the beginning of the church, and we are looking at a fresh start for a few of the apostles.
RECAP
This week, we continued our study through the book of Acts. We looked at Acts 9 and Paul's story. We see he is originally named Saul and he's like a Christian bounty hunter. Yet Jesus chose him to be his instrument of grace. If this Christian killer can experience the grace of God, you can too. No matter who you are or what you've done or said, God still has abundant grace and immeasurable patience for you.
BIBLE
Acts 7-9, 1 Timothy 1:12-17
QUESTIONS: Read Acts 26:1-23
This past Sunday we looked at Paul’s experience when he encountered Jesus in Acts 9. Paul shares this again in Acts 26.
- Read Acts 26:1-23. Paul recaps his experience with Jesus.
Reflection:
How have you experienced the grace of God? What does that mean to you? Is it shaping your life or do you feel you are taking it for granted?
- Paul boldly shares how encountering Jesus changed his life (vv. 12–18).
Reflection:
How has my own encounter with Christ—whether dramatic or gradual—transformed my purpose, values, or direction in life? Am I willing to share that story as openly as Paul did?
- Paul declares that his mission was to turn people “from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God” (v. 18).
Reflection: How has the grace of God that I’ve experienced given me a purpose and a mission? In what ways can I be a light-bearer in my community or workplace—helping others experience the hope, repentance, and freedom that come from knowing Christ?
