1 & 2 CORINTHIANS SERIES: CHECK YOURSELF
This year, we are taking a journey through the New Testament. We are currently in the books of 1 & 2 Corinthians. This book is actually a letter written by Paul to the church in Corinth. He looks to deal with past influence and problems that are interfering with the ways of Jesus.
RECAP
For week 1 of our series, we mainly looked at the first section of 1 Corinthians. Paul wrote this letter because he heard about some issues and quarrels in the church at Corinth. He addressed the problems and talks about how to follow the way of Jesus. His key point is to let our whole lives be influenced by Jesus. For this new year, it’s not about a new you or making your life better. It’s about out with the old ways, and in with the new. Be a new creation. You are not your own. Your body and your life is a temple to honor God.
