JOURNEY THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT: 1 & 2 Thessalonians
April 6, 2026
RECAP
This year, we are taking a journey through the New Testament. We find ourselves on Easter Sunday in the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians. These books have a lot to say about the resurrection. In these letters, Paul offers hope in the face of suffering.

QUESTIONS: Review 1 Thessalonians 4
Living to Please God Paul urges believers to “live in order to please God” (vv. 1–2). What specific areas of your life right now reflect a desire to please God—and where might you be drifting toward pleasing yourself or others instead?
Called to Holiness In verses 3–8, Paul emphasizes God’s will for holiness and purity. What does holiness look like in your daily habits, relationships, and thought life—and what is one practical step you can take to grow in that this week?
Hope in Christ’s Return Verses 13–18 speak about hope in the return of Jesus and the resurrection. How does your belief in Jesus’ return shape the way you handle grief, uncertainty, or priorities in your life today?
