1 & 2 CORINTHIANS SERIES: CHECK YOURSELF
This year, we are taking a journey through the New Testament. We are currently in the books of 1 & 2 Corinthians. This book is actually a letter written by Paul to the church in Corinth. He seeks to address past influences and problems that are hindering his relationship with Jesus.
RECAP
For week 2 of our series, we mainly looked at 1 Corinthians 12 & 13. Paul wrote this letter because he heard about some issues and quarrels in the church at Corinth. As the church was just beginning in Corinthians, things at church we disorganized and some people had selfish motives. Paul shared how we need to function together like a body with many parts and that is best done through godly love in action.

QUESTIONS: Read 1 Corinthians 12
1) What does it look like for you to be part of the body of Christ? What does it mean for me & from me?
2) Where have I compared my role in the church to someone else’s, and how does Paul’s image of one body with many parts affect my perspective?
3) How am I embracing the place God has assigned me in the body while affirming that every part—seen and unseen—is necessary?
4) If I am part of the body, what steps do I need to take to build up others and express God’s love in action?
