This past Sunday we began our new series called Building Your Dream Home. If you're going to build a house, you need a blueprint. What if we could have a blueprint for who are becoming in our families? So in this series, we are looking at creating a vision for our families future.

You can download the worksheet here to start working on your family blueprint.
If we are going to let this blueprint bring focus to our families, we have to do some intentional things to build up our families and our foundation. For our Journey Kids, they encourage parents to utilitize some small moments throughout the week. There are moments like bed time, bath time, car time, meal time or hang time throughout each week that can be wasted or utilized to build up our families. We can be intentional with those moments or at least be ready for some spontaneous, teachable moments by having a vision for our families and the parent resources can help make the most of our limited time. If we have a vision for our families, we can intentionally build our dream homes. You can find more details on the parent resources here.

4 LITTLE WORDS FOR HUGE RESULTS IN OUR FAMILY

You can use four little words – Hear, Pray, Talk, Live – to help you make a little change that has huge results in your family. If you want your kids to grow up to follow Jesus, here's a few things to consider:
HEAR – How does your family hear God? What is one little thing you can do this week to help your child hear from Him?
PRAY – Do you pray with your kids at mealtime, bedtime, before school? Could you set aside a minute or two to start?
TALK – When was the last time you talked about your understanding of God with your child? Do they know where you are on your faith journey?
LIVE – How are you showing your child how you live out your faith? Is it worship? Service? What is a little thing you can do to help them understand that faith isn’t just a part of how we live. It determines everything about who we are as we live out our lives.
