Starting on November 24 we are entering into 30 days of praying for the next phases of The Journey.  We realize that our dependency is on God for this next season & like Abraham Lincoln, we have an overwhelming conviction that if God doesn't move in great ways, the dreams we have will fall flat.

So, we're asking you to join us by taking a day and praying with us over these big issues.  Maybe it's some time in the morning, or at bedtime, or on a break at work.  Maybe it's time gathered as a family, so your kids can have a 1st-hand experience in this.

As you prepare to pray:

1. Pray in your way.  There's no magic formula.  Just share your heart with God on these things.

2.  You don't have to have a set time.  But try to find some place where you won't be distracted.

3.  Go to God believing He can do these things.  He says to "approach the throne of grace with confidence".  Ask boldly!

4.  You can always pray for more than one day.  Maybe even make a 30 day commitment to pray about these things.

As you pray, read these verses first:

1 John 5:14 ~ This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 

Jeremiah 29:12 ~ Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

We’d love for you to pray for as many of these issues as possible in your own way.

Mission: Pray for . . .

*favor at our Christmas services.  That guests will come, invites will be accepted, and people will take steps toward Jesus.

*a record number of people engage with our Christmas Eve services.

*friends or family members that don’t know Jesus.  Pray that this year will be the year they experience Jesus in their lives.

*who you will invite to Christmas & the launch of our new facility.

*Networks will impact our communities in significant ways this year.

*God’s provision for us as a church.  That He would supply all we need to do all He wants us to do.

*continued & expanding impact in our partnership with Compassion International Peru and the church in Santa Rosa.

 

Building: Pray for . . .

*safety & hard work for all those working on our new Quarterline facility.

*the project will be on time and on budget.

*wise decisions as we enter the final months of this project.

*our opening weekends at Quarterline and the move.

 

NEXT GENERATION: Pray for . . .

*direction in staffing for Journey Teens

*volunteer team that is serving Journey Teens

*Journey Teens, that they would grow to follow Jesus and live His ways.

*Journey Kids volunteer team.

*Journey Kids children, that they would become all that God desires for them.

*parents as they invest in their kids, for wisdom & grace. 

*Impact of Spring Hill Day Camps this summer.

 

SPIRITUAL GROWTH:  Pray for . . .

*we would live dependent & surrendered to God & His ways.

*His Spirit would move in powerful ways among us this next year.

*the spiritual health of our staff at The Journey.

*Journeyers would fall more and more in love with God, His Word, and our community.
