2013 Hope Christmas Project Update: Kenya

For part of our Hope Christmas this past year, we raised some dollars to help the House of Hope Orphanage in Kenya to build another classroom.  We've partnered with them for many years in many different ways, and this is one of their current needs.  As some of the kids are getting older at the home, they needed additional classroom space.  In addition, they are able to bring in a few kids from the community to help them with getting an education as well.

We wanted to update you on the project and tell you that the classroom is built!  They are just putting some of the finishing touches on the project and then they will get the supplies needed to begin teaching!  Education is a huge part of helping the orphans (and other Kenyans) to move past the challenges of poverty and become part of the solution in their community.  The House of Hope school has received recognition in the community for having kids with some of the highest test scores.  So they are making a real difference!  If you gave to that Hope Project, thanks so much for partnering to bring hope to the lives of people half way around the world!
