Journey Kids is focused on partnering with families to help kids take first and next steps in their relationships with Jesus and each other. Our curriculum is based on a simple idea referred to as “being orange”. The idea is to combine YELLOW (the light of God) with RED (the love of the family) to create the combined influence of ORANGE in the lives of our kids. Two combined influences tend to create a greater impact than two influences alone. We want to provide fun and instruction on Sunday mornings, but also resources for parents to use at home. This provides the potential to make a significant impact on your children, your family, and the legacy that will be created by being a follower of Jesus.
Here's more information on Journey Kids and what happens on Sundays and check out the resources below to help you as a parent:
It's our desire to help equip you as parents with things to encourage your kids to take their next steps with God throughout the week. Here's a few ways to make the most of your take home sheets:
1) Start small. Take one thing, make it a habit, and then pick something else. Develop it as a routine: same time and same place.
2) Don't rush it. Take your time and make it special between you and your child.
3) Be consistent and keep at it even if it's awkward at first.
