Your kids will love Sunday mornings at The Journey! We’re all about building a foundation for kids to experience their best life. Our classes are full of fun, friends and experiential learning, all to help connect kids with God. We have the best kids' volunteers, too. They love kids and are held to high standards (including police background checks) to make sure your child is safe and has a great experience. Make sure you pick up a Parent Pack and take a peek in our awesome rooms. Your kids will love being a part of Journey Kids as we strive to make it the best hour of their week!
When you check your child in to their room, you will receive a tag with a randomized number at our computerized check-in booth. This allows us to page you in the service if your child needs you for any reason. You will also need this tag to pick up your child after the gathering, so make sure you stick it somewhere safe!
It's our desire to provide parents with the opportunity to connect with God without worrying about their kids. When you drop off your littlest ones in the nursery, you'll find caring volunteers ready to love, play with, and care for your child.
NEW MOMS: We have a nursing room connected to the nursery at our Pontaluna Exit Site. It's stocked with snacks, rocking chairs and speakers so you can hear the service. Feel free to use this room at any point during the service. Sorry dads, this room isn’t for you, but you are welcome to sit in the chairs in the lobby and watch the service on the TVs.
Our toddlers through Kindergarten kids have a blast in age-appopriate rooms. They play games, have active learning, hear Bible stories, sing songs, eat snacks and make fun crafts. These activities help them take their first look at God as they learn how God made them, God loves them and that Jesus wants to be their forever friend. Each month, they're sent home with the main points, discussion questions and thoughts on the Parent Take-Home Sheet. Download it below & check it out for some great family activities.
Our elementary age kids have a ton of fun exploring faith, wisdom, and friendship. They learn about God by connecting with committed volunteers and their peers. They begin in a large group setting where they participate in team games and activities, then watch a modern re-telling of a passage from the Bible. After that, the kids are split into small groups to discuss the week's focus with a trusted adult. Each month, they focus on one Biblical truth and learn how to apply what God says in their everyday lives. Be sure to check out the Parent Take-Home Sheet and the Parent Cue App to intentionally enhance the time already spent with your child at home by purposefully focusing on God’s truth.
